Gorilla Riot and Dead Man's Whiskey are the wild card additions to the line-up for the Rising Stage at this year's Ramblin' Man Fair. They won a popular vote among fans to choose from a selection of hopefuls to join the bill.
Ramblin' Man Fair happens at More Park in Maidstone on June 30 and July 1, with Mott The Hoople and The Cult as the headliners.

Sons Of Apollo have added three more headline shows in the UK and Ireland to their European tour this summer. They happen at Motherwell Concert Hall July 2, Belfast Limelight 3, Dublin Tivoli Variety Theatre 4. This is in addition to their previously announced performance at Ramblin' Man on July 1.

Foreigner are to issue the live album 'Foreigner With The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus' through earMUSIC on April 27.
This was recorded during two shows in Lucerne, Switzrland last May. The 58-piece orchestra was conducted by Ernst van Tiel, while Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer helped to arrange the music. There was also a 60-piece choir.
This is to be released on vinyl, CD and DVD.

This year's HawkEaster will happen from Match 30 - April 1, at the Alhambra Theatre in Morecambe/ The bill will include Ginger Wildheart, Tim Blake,The Fierce And The Dead, Son Of Man and System 7. But Hawkwind themselves, although they will be there, will be performing.
The festival aims to raise funds to save the theatre. And on the first night, there will be a rendition of Robert Calvert's play 'The Stars That Play With Laughing Sam's Dice'. Written about Jimi Hendrix, this is being performed to mark the 30th anniversary of Calvert's death.

Didier Lockwood Dies Didier Lockwood Dies » 19 Feb 18
French jazz violinist Didier Lockwood has died at the age of 62, after suffering a heart attack.
Lockwood collaborated with Magma from 1974 - 1980, and also played on the 1979 album 'Downwind' from Pierre Moerlin's Gong. A discipline of Stéphane Grappelli, he also set up the Didier Lockwood Music Centre just outside Paris, where he taught improvisation.
