RANDY BLYTHE - FREE AT LAST
Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe has been acquitted of a manslaughter charge by a panel of three judges in the Czech Republic. However, the state prosecutors have announced their intention to launch an appeal, and have eight days to
do soin writing.
Blythe was charged following the death of Lamb Of God fan Daniel Nosek, who died a month after going to a LOG gig in Prague. He was alleged to have received the injuries which led to his death, after being thrown off the stage by the vocalist.
IOMMI WRITES EUROVISION ENTRY
Tony Iommi has co-written the Armenian entry for this year's Eurovision Song Contest. It's called 'Lonely Planet', and is to be performed by Gor Suryjan and his band Dorians.

Deep Purple have announced the following shows: Manchester Apollo October 12, Glasgow Clyde Auditorium 13, Birmingham NIA 15, London Roundhouse 16. Tickets go on sale from 9am on March 8.
THE QUILL: NEW ALBUM
The Quill have a new album on the way. It's to be titled 'Tiger Blood', and is released by Metalville on May 24. Production was handled by Petter Diamant.
GAMA BOMB READY NEW ALBUM
Gama Bomb will put out new album 'The Terror Tapes' through AFM on April 19. This is the Irish band's fourth album.
THE SAFETY FIRE HEAD FOR THE STUDIO
The Safety Fire will start recording their second album in mid-March. As yet untitled, this will be produced by guitarist Derya 'Dez' Nagle.
ROCK THE HOUSE GETS RECORD NUMBER OF ENTRIES
Rock the House 2013 has received over 1000 entries from aspiring musicians, live music venues and music videos from across the country, covering over 439 MPs and
smashing last year's total of 165. Two-thirds of MPs received nominations, which confirms Rock the House's status as being Parliament's biggest competition.
MPs will now nominate their favourite act from each category, with several organising Battle Of The Bands competitions in their constituencies to help determine the finalists. A judging panel made up of international music industry experts will then choose the competition finalists, who will compete in a live Battle Of The Bands. The winner of Best Band and Best Solo Artist categories will then perform live on the terrace of the House Of Commons on June 26. The Under 19's categories will perform live at The Bedford in Balham on May 28.

Avantasia are to release new album 'The Mystery Of Time' through Nuclear Blast on March 30,l A metal opera, it's been masterminded by project leaderTobias Sammet,
vocalist with Edguy. There are guest appearances from Joe Lynn Turner, Bob Catley, Biff Byford, Eric Martin, Michael Kiske, Bruce Kulick, Arjen Lucassen and Ronnie Atkins.
MONTROSE TRIO RECORD TOGETHER
Sammy Hagar has been recording new material with one-time Montrose bandmates Denny Carmassi (drums) and Bill Church (bass). However, to date there's no information on when or how this will be released.
QUEENSRYCHE SIGN DEAL
Queensryche have signed to Century Media. The band's new album, their first with new vocalist Todd La Torre, is due out on June 10.

Geoff Tate's Queensryche are to title their debut album 'Frequency Unknown'. This is to be
released by Cleopatra Records in April 23.
