Aersomith Ticket Prices Soar

Bar Seat for $400?

With Aerosmith announcing their farewell tour came a mixture of querying anticipation. Within the concoction of mostly excitement, bittersweet turmoil and the eager fight to gain a seat at the monumental event of one of the worlds biggest rock bands came the anticipation of high priced tickets. Twitter user @RyanConnell5150 drew attention to the steep prices in a post, captioning, “this is fucking ridiculous. Aerosmith is charging $400 + fees to sit on a fucking bar stool in the very back of a section that’s almost behind the stage.” Though it comes no surprise that Aerosmith, a band which over 150 million records sold, platinum namesakes beyond any rockers dreams and a back catalogue to make the music gods weep have released tickets to their final showdown in the triple digits, it still takes quite a gulp to swallow. In 2019 the band took up a Las Vegas residency which saw seats being sold at a minimum of $110 a pop. Elton John, Celine Dion and Adele all gave their name to infamous Las Vegas residencies with Aerosmith being no different in the bubble of high demand. Though Steven Tyler and the gang are no strangers to reaping the benefits of their undying, every classic hard rocking tunes it’s seems as though this farewell tour will truly be the last.

Announcing their last ever tour earlier this year the band will start out on 2nd September in Philadelphia on a 40 date run around north America. Their mammoth trail will end on 26th January in Montreal and will include a stop in the bands hometown of Boston on New Years Eve. Drummer Joey Kramer will unfortunately not be playing, focussing on his family and his health. Highly priced or not, the only sour taste is left by those not being able to travel over to the states to see a band that remains a true institute of everything the industry adores about rock ‘n’ roll.
