The Most Thrilling Band of 2024! Amyl & The Sniffers Deliver a Savage Performance at The Roundhouse!

If you imagine Farah Fawcett at the height of her Charlie’s Angels fame, yet with balls the size of Brazil, a mouth that could make a trucker blush and the raw unadulterated punk energy that a young Iggy Pop would have been proud of, then you’re still not getting even close to the formidable force that is front woman Amy Taylor. But as a band it’s impossible to compare Australian punk rockers Amyl & The Sniffers to anyone else, because they’re just not like anyone else, because they are the hottest and most thrilling act of 2024 and if tonight’s performance at the packed Roundhouse is anything to go by, they are undeniably one of the best live bands in the world!! Hot off the back of the release of their wildly anticipated new album Cartoon Darkness, they are the hottest ticket in town and if three sell out nights at the iconic Roundhouse doesn’t say it all then I don’t know what does!

From the moment this gang of Aussie mavericks took to the stage to the ferocious ‘Doing In Me Head’ you could literally feel the venue pulsating with an infectious excitement, as the crowd pogoed like their lives depended on it!

As Taylor whipped the crowd into a frenzy with her potty mouthed lyrics and infectious ferocious punk energy, she oozed from every pore the kind of star quality that stops you in your tracks and makes you want to be just like her! Uninhibited and hilarious as she jumped around the stage, belting out track after track as the circle pits formed and the ecstatic crowd revelled in every perfect moment!

As Taylor tore through tracks like the unapologetic x-rated ‘Jerkin’ and ‘Me and The Girls’, it was clear that a new fearless feminist punk icon had been born! Taylor is the perfect remedy to the conformist Taylor Swift’s of today’s music scene! Someone who does it her way and doesn’t give a damn what anyone else thinks! Now whilst Amy is without a doubt the star of the show, the entire band are rock solid! They just bounce off each other, looking so at home that you could almost imagine that they were back home in some Melbourne pub performing to their mates!!

The Sniffers upcoming 2025 World tour has been causing a bit a buzz and after tonight’s mind-blowing show, world domination seems only a short step away!
