Aussie Rockers Airbourne Bring Thunder and Hellfire to the Maid of Stone Festival!!
As singer and lead guitarist Joel O’Keeffe stormed across the stage like a wild cross between Brian Johnson and Tigger on acid as Airbourne kicked off their set with ‘Ready to Rock’, it was ballsy rock’n’roll at it’s very best! The driving horizonal rain showed no sign of slowing this wild man of rock! With screaming guitars and pounding drums, Airbourne were on fire!! And the crowd were loving it!! One of the amazing things about this band is how well they all just work together in perfect rock synchronicity, a performance no doubt honed during their relentless touring schedule.
And as the band launched into ‘Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast’, Joel turned into a crazed beer throwing, axe welding maniac of the highest pedigree that would have given ACDC a run for their money!! With his brother Ryan O’Keeffe pounding the skins, Justin Street on Bass and Jarrad Morrice on rhythm guitar, Airbourne were a powerhouse of rock’n’roll mayhem!!
With crowd surfers galore, their feet flailing in the air, held overhead, the atmosphere was electric!! And as the band fired into ‘Girls in Black’, all gutsy, balls to the wall rock’n’roll, it was clear to see that this was a night that the audience were never going to forget!

It’s not Jarrad Morrice, he left a couple of months ago, it’s Brett Tyrrell on rhythm guitar. Total Rock? Total something….
