Black Tree Vultures
RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘Veins’ & New EP “III”
12/02/21
“This song is about using my lyrics as a diary entry. It is a pumped up song to remind myself to be more
positive and upbeat about life. That at times we shouldn’t let ourselves drown. It can become difficult
however if you can “keep your head above the water” good things can happen. Yet even with a positive
outlook, the negativity in life can bring you down, but you have to do your best to keep it from the ones you
love lest you bring them down to your level.” Celyn – Lead Vocalist
Black Tree Vultures are:
Celyn Benyon – Vocals
James “Ched” Cheeseman – Bass
Aaron Hammersley – Guitar/Backing Vocals
Jonno Smyth – Drums
Black Tree Vultures formed in 2017 and are made up of four extremely close friends. For the last four
years the band have worked hard to maintain an energetic live show not to be missed. With appearances
for over 150+ shows in several different countries, they exploded on to the scene with a debut 5 track EP
and began making name in the underground scene. Saying that, they have come a long way since that first
show in their hometown of Bournemouth.
2019 saw the band boasting a three track self-titled EP made up of diverse singles, which Classic Rock
Magazine described as “manly no-bullsh*t beef with a moderns edge”, the band continued that, “live show
legacy” returning to venues with more and more people attending each time. With track “Bitter” being a fan
favourite, the boys returned to mainland Europe to give their long awaiting fans something to get their beak
in to.
Working with known producer Romesh Dodangoda, they released “Pull Apart” in early 2020 with lightning
success which saw them catapulted head-first in to festival slots across the UK & Europe.
Stepping in to “Los Rosales” studio shortly after “Pull Apart” was released with producer Will Maya, the
boys put their heart & soul in to recording a BRAND NEW 4 TRACK EP titled “III” which launches on 12th
February 2021.
Without letting the global crisis affect their motivation, the positive atmosphere in the BTV camp continued
with track one being released. “The Unforeseen” was the first official lyric video the band created. The
stand out single being “Run Back To The Dark” securing the band their first major radio airplay debut on
Kerrang! Radio, describing the track as “razor sharp riffs, massive grooves and anthemic stadium
choruses” demonstrating the power of this quartets song writing abilities.
Gaining momentum and securing a extremely positive attitude within the industry, the band are
demonstrating across the world that, if provided an opportunity, they will convert fans to the Black Tree
Vultures Family.
Providing a live show that leaves audiences wanting more, Black Tree Vultures want people to feel
energetic, positive and motivated when they close a live performance and they also want that to continue
well after the show has finished. The future certainly looks bright for BTV.
