Celebrate 20 years of TotalRock with our special live birthday schedule

TotalRock turns twenty on Friday 29th May and we had a heap of things planned to celebrate, which have been scuppered by that unnamed beast wreaking havoc on the world right now. And like so many others, we’ve had to put our plans and celebrations on hold for a year. Watch out 2021, TotalRock comes of age!
But we couldn’t let the day go unmarked and have lined up a one-off special schedule with a day of live shows and plenty of ways in which you can get involved and celebrate with us virtually at least.
09:00 Steve Harrison “The Breakfarce”
Steve brings us anniversary news stories from May 29th over the last 20 years and a plethora of metal bangers! But shush, don’t tell his wife, it’s his 27th wedding anniversary too.
11:00 Barnaby Whattingham “The Phantasmagoria”
Don you party hats, top up your morning coffee and get ready to dance until lunchtime! As DJ Force X breaks out the party tunes for TotalRock’s 20th!
12:00 Ron Morrow “The Moshpit Metal Lunchbox”
Ron will be talking through 20 years of moshpit memories from listeners, so come and share your stories, plus he will be featuring top five memories from artists including Skindred and Devilment.
15:00 Xander “The Helldrive”
Xander will be looking over the last twenty years with memories from listeners along with his own and delving into the TotalRock archives of doom!
18:00 Tina Saul “The Outbreak”
TotalRock DJs past and present have been voting for their top five albums of each year. Tina will feature a track from each of the winning albums and will be playing a selection of your favourites from the last two decades too. She will also be kicking off the show with the exact same song that got TotalRock started at the same time two decades ago.
21:00 Matt Mason “The Mattcave”
Matt will be digging the dirt /reminiscing on his time on the good ship TotalRock. From helping hoist the mast for the first-ever broadcast on AM in 2000 to Matt and Muppet Boy on Saturday lunchtime. He will also be joined by TotalRock Legends over the phone. You can send in your TR chatroom tales and requests and let him know how TR made or ruined your life!
