Christopher Esse Releases New Album ‘Resonance Part 2:Digital Rain’
Written by Johnson Stephen on October 6, 2019
Christopher Esse has just released ‘Resonance Part 2: Digital Rain’ via Independent. This album is part two of a four-part rock opera called ‘Resonance.’
The first album – ‘John Doe Saves The World’ – shows the struggles we face as a tech-centric, ultra-capitalistic system that begins to overrun human morality.
In the follow-up ‘Digital Rain’ we see how toxic information drowns out rational thoughts and actions, eroding human will via political, social, and commercial propaganda. ‘Resonance’ is a multi-decade journey into our dystopian future. The music features inventive melodies and surprising chord changes, supported by a richly layered rock score enlivened by top-tier session musicians.
‘Resonance’ is being released one album at a time. The final album is set for early 2020. Written, composed, and recorded over the course of nearly three years, ‘Resonance’ is Esse’s attempt to combine his passion for music with a deep concern about the threat to civilization posed by ultra-capitalism and digital mayhem. He believes there’s only one way we get out of this alive.
‘Resonance’ is a uniquely ambitious project driven not by a need for success in the material sense but by a heartfelt desire to contribute something meaningful to the world. Esse’s sense of urgency is both pragmatic and personal.
