CLASSIC MACHINE HEAD RETURN

Written by on March 25, 2019

Machine are to celebrate the 25th anniversary of debut album ‘Burn My Eyes’ later in the year.

This will be see mainman Robb Flynn reuniting with guitarist Logan Mader and drummer Chris Kontos for a series of shows; current bassist Jared MacEachern will also be involved.

A European tour will start in early October, and will include the following UK/Irish shows: London Brixton O2 Academy November 2, Manchester O2 Victoria Warehouse 4, Glasgow O2 Academy 4, Belfast Telegraph Building 7, Dublin Olympia Theatre 8.  Tickets go on sale from 10am on March 29. Each show will have a three hour performance. The first part will feature classics, while the second part is to include the whole of ‘Burn My Eyes’. Mader and Kontos will participate in the latter section only.

Says Flynn:“Having started rehearsals with Chris and Logan several weeks ago, I’m literally giddy with excitement at the prospect of how much fun this is going to be. Both Logan and Chris are in phenomenal playing shape, the vibe between all four of us has been incredibly positive, and having run through deep cuts like ‘Death Church’ and ‘I’m Your God Now’ for the first time in over a decade, has reminded me of how fucking heavy our older songs are!  This tour is going to be MASSIVE!! Do not sleep on this, tell your friends, spread the word, because tickets are going to disappear!”

And it now seems that Flynn, Lader and Kontos have re-recorded ‘Burn My Eyes’. They will release it digitally, although whether this is to be as a full album or track by track remains to be seen.
