The Rock and Metal community are shaken up by the loss of yet another great drummer
CORROSION OF CONFORMITY have confirmed news of the passing of drummer Reed Mullin in the early hours of this morning and tweets from from fans and fellow musicians are already pouring in.
Mullin was one of the founding members of the band that formed in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1982. He was also involved in a number of side projects and other outfits including NO LABELS, MAN WILL DESTROY HIMSELF, BROWN, TEENAGE TIME KILLERS.
A respected musician who collaborated with many of his peers on the circuit, however, not without its creases. In 2016 he had already suffered a massive seizure following excessive alcohol consumption that forced him out of the C.O.C. tour.
The cause of death is yet to be established and the story still very much unfolding. Updates will follow as we get them.
The band pay homage and describe him as a “friend, brother and pioneer”
It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a friend, a brother and pioneer. Reed you are loved and always will be. Lets all take a moment… pic.twitter.com/33HKp9tU7v
