Download Festival 2019: Krazy Doug Recommends

  • Simple Creatures

Their debut EP Strange Love is a fantastic 6 track ep. Mark Hoppus (Blink 182) & Alex Gaskarth (all Time Low) have created something that the future of Pop Punk is sure to follow, it balances the essence of Pop Punk with a hint of electronica. They’ve only played one show, in London, this is their second and they headline the Avalanche Stage on Saturday night.

  • Zebrahead

‘Brain Invaders’ has only been out a few months and it’s a classic Zebrahead record. It’s an album full of good times and is bound to be a staple in their set. They play fourth on The Avalanche Stage on Friday

  • Hot Milk

They are touring relentlessly and for good reason, EVERYONE needs Hot Milk in their lives! ‘Are You Feeling Alive’ is a banger and great live. If you only see one band this weeks on this list its HOT MILK. After download they’re supporting Foo Fighters, hows that?

  • Enter Shikari

‘The Spark’ sees Enter Shikari carry on with their unique sound, headlining the Avalanche stage on Sunday. If you like classic hits like ‘Sorry You’re Not a Winner’ with the fantastic ‘Anaesthetist’ mixed with sonic bass and lasers, do not miss this!

  • Skindred

Newport Helicopter, whats not to like? being upgraded to Main stage on Saturday after Behemoth, Skindred are going to bring the party and make you sing and dance to all the songs you know. Benji will hypnotise you!

  • The Interrupters

‘Fight The Good Fight’ is so good, if it came out 15 years ago it would be all over the Tony Hawk games. Classic old school punk with a modern twist. Check them out. Avalanche Stage on the Friday.

  • Fever 333

’Str3ngth In Numb3rs’ set the bar for the live shows and future albums, with the intense live shows from Letlive. to the anthem tracks on the album you won’t be able to take your eyes off Jason and even if you’re not a fan you will be after. They play Sunday on the Avalanche Stage

  • Sumo Cyco

Imagine if Harley Quinn was in a rock band? This is what it would look and sound like, their new track ‘Love You Wrong’ is as catchy as any Def Leppard track (Ever) give them a chance and they’ll surprise you. Opening up the Avalanche Stage on Friday.

  • Me First & The Gimme Gimmes

Covers, Covers and more COVERS! Who doesn’t like covers? ‘Uptown girl’, ‘Take Me Home Country Roads’ sounds better than ever coming from this band (unless you like the originals). Headlining Friday night on The Avalanche Stage

  • Die Antwoord

Where to start? Main support for Slipknot, on the same time (probs) Simple Creatures and Carcass and Stone Temple Pilots. This is a wild card but go in with an open mind and Im sure you’ll be blown away.
