Download Festival’s District X Returns as the Ultimate Playground With 2026 Line-Up Reveal
Tickets for Download Festival are close to selling out — and now it’s pretty obvious why. The renowned festival doesn’t just know its way around heavy music, it also knows how to have a good time. Anyone still thinking playgrounds are just for kids clearly hasn’t tried the ultimate playground that is District X.
From 10 to 14 June, Donington Park will host a line-up of acts that truly live up to their names.
A nostalgic decade is making a comeback, courtesy of 90s favourites Five. For the first time, the “five bad boys with the power to rock you” step onto the Download stage to prove that long-standing hits don’t fade.
And after Five comes Six — we’re keeping it simple. Naturally, Electric Six keep things just as electric, bringing crowd favourites like “Gay Bar” and “Danger! High Voltage” along for the ride.
The All-American Rejects seem to be rejecting any early reveal of their setlist, meaning patience is required until the festival weekend. Then again — who doesn’t love a bit of mystery?
Also on the bill: DJ sets from Dick & Dom, Creeper, MODESTEP, Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats (who will also appear with Black Sabbath x Cancer Bats project Bat Sabbath), and Lucas Woodland of Holding Absence.
Any proper recipe for fun starts with humour. Good thing live comedy is very much part of the equation, with a full programme hosted by The Comedy Store, featuring over 25 acts including Thomas Green, Matt Bragg, Felicity Ward — and plenty more where that came from.
Live podcasts, chaotic crossovers between comedy and music, and even a return to basics with pure accordion magic — if Download does one thing well, it’s creating a party mix that hits hard but leaves no regrets.
And yes, the main stage can more than keep up. With headliners like Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses and Linkin Park, alongside plenty of other names — there’s more than enough to dive into. Full line-up details can be found here, here & here .
Grab the remaining tickets while you still can — just like the faster ones already did.
