Drummer Ginger Baker Passes Away Aged 80

Ginger Baker, Drummer for Cream, Blind Faith, Hawkwind and Air Force has passed away aged 80.

The announcement was made via Ginger Baker’s Facebook page and it reads:”We are very sad to say that Ginger has passed away peacefully in hospital this morning, 6th October 2019. Thank you to everyone for your kind words over the past weeks.”

Ginger Baker’s death will see him feted as one of Rock’s most influential musicians, but he scoffed at such accolades, insisting: “Drummers are really nothing more than time-keepers.”
