Fender Release John 5 Signature Guitar

‘Sleek As It Can Get’ Telecaster? Yes Please.

International music conglomerate Fender Guitar have finally released what has been in development for just over four whole years. The John 5 inspired, limited edition axe, enigmatically named ‘Ghost’, is now available to the eager masses. 5 played this gorgeously sharp instrument on a few occasions live already whilst also giving fans an insight into the guitar last July. It comes in a perfect timeframe of notable popularity for John 5 who recently replaced Mick Mars in the controversial bandmate swap out into Motley Crue. Decades of being an internationally renowned guitarist can only really be validated once Fender take you into those reputation sealing halls of a custom release. John 5’s back catalogue include playing for David Lee Roth, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie and now infamously Motley Crue. But lawsuits and hair metal politics aside, the ‘Ghost’ is delectably well designed.

The 'Ghost'

With a custom neck and a 9.5″ radius fingerboard its slimmed frets give those accurate picking extravaganza’s that extra mobility. Medium-high gain humbucking pickups on the guitar have been designed to replicate the sound of active pickups with tractable precision. Looks wise it’s got that ‘near-all-white’ look which stretches down the neck and over the headstock. The crisp finish only amplifies the polished cherry red outlining the body and pickguards. Classically Telecaster the body is broad but sleek with the whole thing coming in a tolex hardshell case with a ‘John 5’ embroidery on the inner red, thickly stuffed lining. Humbuckers by DiMarzio D Activator and a playing presence to die for, the instrument has class, aptitude and delicate strength.
