Finnfest comes to London for the first time in 2020

Something special is coming to London in February 2020. No it’s not Ozzy Osbourne of course, but an invasion of Finns! That’s right, Finnfest has been announced for the 15th and 16th February and celebrates the best of Finnish death metal.
What makes this event so special is the fact that it’s the first time that some of the bands have ever made it to British shores, with the likes of Rippikoulu, Lantern, Sadistik Forest, and Galvanizer added to this impressive line-up.
The Garage is hosting both dates with Saturday including Demilich, Rippikoulu, Sadistik Forest and Corpsessed. Sunday sees the return of the incredible Skepticism who haven’t played London since 2012, along with Convulse, Purtenance and Lie in Ruins.
The idea for the festival came about after a drinking session in Camden’s Black Heart, where the passion for Finnish death metal and putting on a gig came to fruition. After such a good response from some of the bands it quickly escalated into an epic two-day festival lineup and Finnfest London was born!
The event has sold so well that the original venue has been upgraded to The Garage and people from around the globe have already purchased tickets and will be descending on our capital. Day tickets for Saturday have already sold out and there are only a few weekend and Sunday day tickets left, so head here to get yours now as it’s looking likely to sell out very soon. A weekend ticket costs just £45.55.
A pre-party has also been announced for the 14th February at Nambucca and the lineup consists of Festerday, Vircolac, Live Burial and more. Tickets are a mere £10 and more information can be found on their Facebook event page.
