Florence Black bring headbanging aplenty and fierce guitars to the Maid of Stone festival!
The Welsh three piece, with Tristan Thomas on Vocals and Guitar, Jordan Evans on Bass and backing vocals, and Perry Davies pounding the skins played an outrageously good ten song set including the ‘Budgie’ cover ‘Breadfan’, giving it their own spin with their signature thrashing drum sound and catchy riffs! Together with Thomas’s roaring vocal and headbanging galore, it was an absolute masterpiece which had the crowd screaming for more! And there was so sign of slowing for this bombastic three piece as they tore through track after track of kicking pounding metal magic! But their opener, ‘Zulu’ really stole the show! From their album ‘Weight Of The World’, with it’s gentle opening blues guitar revving up into a fiery raucous metal riff, hammering drums, gritty and raw vocals, it was simply sensational! This is a band who really know how to put on a show and despite taking to the stage barely after lunchtime, put on a show they did!! But there is so much more to this band than metal and headbanging! They delivered magnificent vocal harmonies which somehow just blended beautifully with their high-octane metal performance!
So, If you’ve never seen Florence Black play live before, then you’re really missing something! They really are dynamite!
