NOVA ROCK Festival 2022 from the 9th – 12th of June in Nickelsdorf, Austria

After a two-year Covid break, the biggest rock festival in Austria is finally BAACK!! Since 2005, the NOVA ROCK festival is held on the Pannonia Fields in Nickelsdorf near the Hungarian and Slovakian border. It grew to one of the biggest outdoor music events in Europe with more than 50,000 fans. , visitors can enjoy a mix of rock, metal, punk, indie and even 90s pop like Haddaway & Dr. Alban as late-night act. The headliners this year are Muse, Placebo, Volbeat and Five Finger Death Punch.
Camping Area & new stage “outfit”
To add a green touch to the festival, organiser introduced a green camping ground which immediately sold out as well as having plastic free vegetables in the supermarket tent on the festival ground. How to get there by public transport:
From Vienna you can get the NOVA ROCK train, specifically for this festival. It leaves from Vienna Huetteldorf or Westbahnhof every hour. The advice is to book early as there are only limited seats available. There are also direct bus transfers from Vienna (Erdberg station) heading straight to the festival.
