Winning ‘Best Rock Album Of The Year’ Is Only The Long Awaited Start
Ghost have announced a five song covers EP as a lead on from their success after the iHeart Radio Music Awards anointed them onvicous leaders on the scene. The record, titled ‘Phantomine’, follows on from their chart-topping album ‘Impera’ which saw them storm the international scene and garnish a glorying critical response. Featuring cuts of classics by Genesis, Iron Maiden, Television, The Stranglers and Tina Turner it pays tribute to the stars as well as taking a deviating step away from the classic original followup drop.
With Easter just behind us it’s no wonder the occult-metal group are announcing their next take-on during this time. Papa Emeritus IV (Toby Forge) and his band recently took up a billboard in Hollywood featuring Forges decorated face atop the slogan ‘Jesus Is Coming’. Now we all know the relevance, excitement is brewing for the outcome of this rock n roll rising. ‘Phantomine’ will offer its first blessing to the world on May 18th with the release of first track, ‘Jesus Knows Me’ by Genesis. An accompanying music video directed by Alex Ross Perry is also due to tingle those deliciously macabre taste buds.
