World’s first Convention to the band Ghost

This Halloween see’s the inaugural event for the world’s first convention dedicated to the band Ghost! Inspired by the likes of KISS Expo sand recent rock n roll exhibitions, the event is set to be an extravaganza of celebration across mediums. TotalRock have teamed up with GCUK and can reveal the immersive and elaborate plans to date…

Set at Corporation in Sheffield and utilising all five available spaces, opening doors at 3pm until the club curfew at 10pm, on Saturday 28 October. After which attendees can continue the night with the venues official Halloween party.

The First Revelation.

Here is the first look at what GCUK are dubbing the ‘Convent‘, you can’t have a convention without convent, right? A happy coincidence!

With the ground floor named the Temple, the Nave (main hall) sees musical performances from Rammstein tribute; Morderstein, Misfits tribute; Famous Monsters, and Ghost tribute; Popestars. The Chapel (smaller room) plays host to the Cosplay activities, including a performance from resident Drag King; Cardinal Copier, and an unholy costume parade for costume awards, where entrants can take to the catwalk to show off their best wares! Plus the whole event is kicked off there by Electro Thrash one man band; Vulgarithm! The in between space serves as a chill out space and the outside Sanctuary (courtyard) will host food stalls. And as well as serving Ghost Juniper Gin, there will also be a list of special fan-named cocktails!

Upstairs in the Chancel see’s the world of Ghost presented before us! At the Altar we have exhibits of merchandise, memorabilia, paraphernalia, and costume examples of fan made costumes and official masks. In the Crypt we have galleries of official posters, fan art, freelance photographers – including TotalRocks own Louise Phillips. The Stalls are, for once, self explanatory here featuring crafters of art, accessories, ghost inspired goodies, including Ben Ashworth, Gray Govhl, Pirate Cat Creations, The Vintage Hawk, Unusual Catastrophes, Witch Image, and Birmingham based horror brand Nasty Clothing! Plus contributions from EMP, Mad About Horror, and the Ghost UK and Sisters of Sin fan groups.

The Second Revelation.

To finish off, as well as cosplay, you can also get interactive and into the ‘spirit’ with having your face painted as your favourite Papa, a tarot reading, pop into the photo booth, AND we can exclusively reveal there will be a very special confessional: you can write your message of devotion to Ghost in a Book of Dedications, to be presented to Tobias Forge himself!
