HAS AXL DEBUTED NEW SONG ON CARTOON?

Mystery surrounds whether or not Axl Rose appeared in an episode of ‘New Looney Tunes’, aired in America on Christmas Day.

And if it is really him voicing the character, did he also debut a snippet of a new song? A character called Axl Rose does have a cameo role, turning up to ask Bugs Bunny and his mates the way to the Civic Center, where his band Steel Underpants are due to perform. And in the episode titled ‘Armageddon Outta Here Part 2’, he gets to perform part of a song called ‘Rock The Rock’, in order to destroy a giant asteroid hurtling menacingly towards Earth.  He’s backed on this by the Looney Tunes pals.

But is it actually Axl? So far, there’s been no confirmation from official sources that the Guns N’ Roses frontman genuinely voiced the ‘Axl Rose’ who appears in this story. Therefore, is this all a fuss about nothing? Or the first original Axl song to be made public for a decade?

UPDATE: it now turns out this IS a new song performed by Axl Rose. It was written by Joshua Funk and Rob Janas, the former being an Emmy nominated composer. And here’s the official video, which has just been posted:
