Iron Maiden Announce EDDFEST at Knebworth to Celebrate 50 Years of Maiden
No Eddie glory, no Maiden story: 50 years of Iron Maiden. And how do you celebrate that properly? With their own festival, of course.
Baptised after the beloved mascot himself, two days of EDDFEST promise to pull fans young and old straight into the world of heavy metal’s most representative monster-rockstar. Immersion into “Maiden World” was promised — now it becomes clear what that actually means:
48 hours away from the irritating outside world, and directly into 50 years of heavy metal history. Anyone who thinks museums are boring may be converted, because the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience — a walk-through display of stage props and relics — is based on the recently released Sunday Times bestseller Infinite Dreams. And your own infinite dreams might come true when you get the chance to view Maiden relics up close and personal.
The Eddie Dive Bars should already be familiar to seasoned Maiden concert-goers. Now it comes in XXL. And why settle for one stage when you can have two? Maidenville will serve as a second music and entertainment space.
Add to that: bars, themed hotspots, and plenty of live music, with support acts including The Hu, The Darkness, The Almighty, and Airbourne.
When? Friday 10th & Saturday 11th July 2026
Where? Knebworth Park
Manager Rod Smallwood explains:
After the monumental shows in the UK last year, we knew that if we were going to play the UK in 2026 it had to be very different. So we chose Knebworth Park as it gives us the space required – which is just not available in stadiums – to put together something groundbreaking for our fans by creating a Maiden World for them. We are excited to now reveal the details of this one-off event to celebrate the band’s 50 year career, which we are now calling EDDFEST, because, as everyone knows, Eddie is the true star of the show!
Those willing to give up the comfort of a bed and choose camping will be rewarded: early entry from 2 pm on Friday, including first access to the site and the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience. Maidenville will, naturally, keep the musical fun going as well.
Kilimanjaro promoters Stuart Galbraith and Alan Day, the creators of Sonisphere, add:
Maiden have a different view on how they want to do things for their fans than most bands. We previously worked with them at Sonisphere and when they explained what they wanted to do for this show we were hooked. It will be a unique event. A celebration of the Eddie-verse if you will… finishing with the last UK show Maiden will play until at least 2028!
Nothing bonds people faster than Eddie-inspired stories and a pint of Trooper-approved, properly brewed, brand-loyal beer.
You know the drill: tickets are available via ironmaiden.knebworth.com, myticket.co.uk, ticketmaster.co.uk, and of course, ironmaiden.com.
