JASON BECKER TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM

The remarkable Jason Becker is to release an album titled ‘Triumphant Hearts’ through Music Theories Recordings/Mascot Label Group on December 7. And it features an amazing array of top guitarists.
Regarded as one of the most talented guitarists of his generation, Becker was struck down with Motor Neurone Disease nearly three decades ago. This is the same disease as afflicted Professor Stephen Hawkin. Yet, despite being given a life expectancy of just five years, the indomitable Becker has battled on, and although he has lost the ability to walk, talk or breathe on his own – let alone play the guitar – he communicates through eye movements on a system developed by his father. This means he can spell out words, as well as music notes and chords.
The new album features 14 tracks in all. The first of these to be made available is ‘Valley Of Fire’, which features The Magnificent 13 – Steve Vai, Joe Bonamassa, Paul Gilbert, Neal Schon, Marty Friedman, Michael Lee Firkins, Mattias IA Eklundh, Greg Howe, Jeff Loomis, Richie Kotzen, Gus G, Steve Hunter and Ben Woods.
