King 810 Blow The Rescue Rooms to Pieces With A Ferocious Onslaught of Nu Metal and Killa Riffs!

Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms was pushed to its limits on Saturday night as King 810 delivered a set that blurred the line between performance and survival ritual. In a venue this close and claustrophobic, their brand of street level heaviness felt even more confrontational, and the sold-out crowd gave every ounce of energy back.

The Michigan heavyweights unleashed their trademark mix of bruising riffs, ominous atmospherics, and David Gunn’s uncompromising delivery. In a room this size, every lyric hit harder, every pause carried weight, and the line between performer and audience seemed to dissolve.

They set the tone with “Rustbelt Numetal,” its grinding riffs sparking the first pit of the night within seconds. From there, “Killem All” turned the floor into a seething mass of bodies, the call-and-response sections shouted back at Gunn with a mix of defiance and devotion.

Mid set highlight “Fat Around the Heart” hit like a sledgehammer, proving why it remains a fan favourite. Every shout-along chorus rattled the venue’s walls. Later, “Boogie with the Boogieman” showcased the band’s ability to balance menace with melody, its anthemic edge giving fans a chance to scream along in unison.

Throughout it all, David Gunn commanded the stage with a mix of menace and vulnerability, engaging the crowd as if every lyric was a confession meant only for those packed into the Rescue Rooms that night. The stripped back production harsh lighting, looming shadows only heightened the sense of intimacy and danger.

By the time the set closed with the crushing “Alpha & Omega,” the atmosphere was electric, bodies bruised but spirits unbroken. King 810 didn’t just play Nottingham; they turned the Rescue Rooms into their own battleground and walked away victorious.
