Kreator Unleashes Brand New Album “Krushers Of The World”

Thrash metal veterans Kreator have decided to start the new year loudly with their 16th studio album, Krushers Of The World. And this is exactly what the German band does best: ten soul-crushing, head-banging tracks embedded in a dystopian narrative, produced by none other than the highly acclaimed Jens Bogren. Having previously worked on Phantom Antichrist (2012) and Gods of Violence (2017), this collaboration feels less like a reunion and more like a continuation of a proven formula.

A dark treasure you definitely should not miss. What happens here is a blend of Kreator’s irreplaceable thrash metal sound and a controlled, elegant use of modern elements.

Krushers Of The World presents Kreator at the height of their creative discipline: furious, precise, and unmistakably relevant. This album bridges decades of thrash metal legacy with a contemporary edge that pushes the genre forward without diluting its core. Yet for all its precision and fury, Krushers Of The World rarely surprises, suggesting that Kreator now operate from a position of total control where risk has become optional rather than necessary.

Lead singer Mille Petrozza commented:

Hordes! Krushers Of The World is yours now! We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. See you on tour!

To set the tone and drag the audience into Kreator’s dungeon-like world, the band released an official music video for the title track, Krushers Of The World. Opening with a warning quote from George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984: “Don’t let it happen. It depends on you.”

Dystopian is exactly what this video is. Exploring Berlin’s underground scenery, it confronts the viewer with gas masks, tanks, bombs, a collapsing Siegessäule – pure symbolism – and images that Berlin knows all too well. Three words: Second World War. This is not nostalgia. It feels like a warning that is more topical than ever: Do not repeat the mistakes of the past.

As sometimes happens, disparity gives rise to something unexpectedly inspiring. At least that is what happened to Kreator. Picture this: Essen, Germany, early 1980s. Unemployment, polluted factory towns, coal mines blackening entire neighbourhoods, while alcohol and drugs quietly embedded themselves into everyday life. Influenced by Kiss and Judas Priest – who else – Kreator forged a sound driven by biting riffs and fed with raw, rabid aggression.

The band draws from an almost unlimited range of themes, from triumph to horror films, all powered by merciless riffs, majestic leads, and a vicious tone laid over dark yet surprisingly catchy melodies. And, of course, there is no shortage of pure, relentless thrashing aggression.

Hooked? You should be. You heard it from frontman Mille Petrozza first: Kreator are preparing to hit the road, with very little time left for counting sheep. Starting Friday, March 20, in Lisbon, Portugal, chances are high you will find a venue near you.
