LAMB OF GOD MAN TO RELEASE NEW PROJECT

Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton has signed a deal for a new project.

He’ll release a 10-track album titled ‘Anesthetic’ through WPP/Spinefarm on Marcj 1. Although the project is under his own name, it has been a collaborative effort between Morton Jake Oni, founder of WPP Records and producer Josh Wilbur.

There are a number of vocalists on the album, including  Chester Bennington, Randy Blythe, Jacoby Shaddix, Myles Kennedy, Alissa White-Gluz, Mark Lanegan, Chuck Billy, Jake Oni, Josh Todd, Mark Morales and Naeemah Maddox. Musically, Morton plays all guitars, with Roy Mayorga, David Ellefson, Ray Luzier, Paulo Gregoletto, Alex Bent, Mike Inez, Jean-Paul Gaster, Steve Gorman and Marc Paul rounding off the band.

Says Morton: “This album wasn’t a concerted effort to start something outside Lamb of God. Music is always in my head, and until I write and record it, it’s stuck there. But once I record it, it’s out. It’s a catharsis, more for my own sanity.”
