Andy cut his teeth in the mid-’90s North London indie scene, working the bars and clubs that
incubated a generation of bands. After a decade away from the industry whilst in the military, he
returned with purpose, supporting international touring artists and contributing to festival
development across Scandinavia, Australia and the United States. In 2023 he relocated to East
Anglia to back the region’s underground properly, building MetalVision Records as a platform for
discovery, development and meaningful opportunities.
As host and producer of Suffolk ’n’ Metal, Andy brings a grown-up standard to DIY culture: live
sessions tracked in his own studio, candid conversations that respect the craft, and a bias for
outcomes over hype. His focus is simple, connect hard-working artists with audiences, partners
and stages that move the needle.

James lives and breathes heavy music. A dedicated follower of the scene since childhood, he
brings an enviable command of bands, sub-genres and history, paired with the practical insight of
a musician. As co-host of Suffolk ’n’ Metal, James translates that passion into sharp, generous
conversation: the kind that puts artists at ease while surfacing the stories, influences and
techniques behind the songs.
When he’s not behind the mic, James is on stage as a permanent member of Bloody Pineapples.
That dual vantage point, performer and presenter, keeps the show honest, grounded and
relentlessly curious about what makes the music hit.
