From the very time I heard Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water” as a 5 year old boy something resonated in me. It grew with songs like ACDC’ s” Dirty Deeds” and Foreigner’s  “Cold as Ice.”  The hard rock riff stirred me with a passion no other music did.  From Glam Metal, Heavy Metal ,Thrash Metal, I could not get enough.  The passion of the fans and the energy of the live show moves me to this day 42 years later.  My passion became to meet bands and fans and talk all things rock.

My addiction of music started on a fall afternoon in first grade. I raked leaves for a neighbor and earned a total of one dollar. I took that dollar across the street to a friends house and bought Kiss Alive II. Opening that gatefold pulled me right into the chaos, the madness, and excitment of the music and electrifying visuals that went along with it. A few years later, the release of Ozzy’s ‘Bark At The Moon’ and Motley Crue’s ‘Shout At The Devil’ further launched my passion for hard rock and metal that continues to this day. I have rocked through some of the greatest era’s of the genre with the NWOBHM Invasion to the Glam and Thrash movements. I continue to cherish the old guard but actively search out and support new bands and their music. With that mission in mind, The 3rd Floor was created.
