MOR 1985 Revisited will take place on Saturday 6 September 2025 at the Black Market Venue, Worsop
MOR Revisited Events started in 2024 to bring fans tributes to the acts, in order that they appeared on the original 1984 Donington ‘Monsters Of Rock’ to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The event was so successful that the theme continues into 2025 with a celebration of the 1985 line-up. A second festival was also created to celebrate classic line ups from the ‘Reading Festival’ of the 80s.
The line-up for MOR Revisited ’85 will be: The Eliminator, Qillirion. Ben Jovi, Moretallica, L,A. Vyper (Ratt), Magnum ’85 – For One Night Only!

MOR ’85 is the 40th anniversary tribute event to the famour Rocking The Castle event at Donington in 1985
Donington 1985 became “Rocking the Castle” rather than “Monsters of Rock”, presumably because the line-up was a little more mixed than the usual heavy metal fare. Z Z Top returned to the festival after playing third on the bill a couple of years earlier.
Recognising the great brand and audience fit, MOR Revisited Events reached out to TotalRock and a partnership was formed.
TotalRock was launched initially as a radio station by a group of rock and metal fans that included the Radio 1 ‘Friday Rock Show’ team of Tommy Vance and Tony Wilson. It began broadcasting initially on AM Radio in London withFriday Rock Show creator Tony Wilson and original Sisters of Mercy manager CEO Boyd Steemson at the helm and the late legendary ‘Voice of Metal’ DJ Tommy Vance and metal guru, journalist and author, Malcolm Dome leading the on-air team.
In early 2001 the station launched free-to-air digital satellite service, and in 2002 began streaming all shows worldwide through its website which was voted the world’s best online metal station in the Online Metal Awards.
Although radio is still at its core, in 2024 it operates on multiple platforms including Twitch, YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram and Facebook @totalrockonline as well as being a much-read website.
The partnership will include co-branded marketing campaigns, live broadcasts, live compering and more.
Tony Wilson (legendary Producer) from TotalRock said: Re-creating the iconic festivals of the past with the cream of today’s tribute bands is a genius concept and one that we are very happy to support”
Daz Scothern (Promoter MoR Revisited) said: “We are delighted that TotalRock are joining us on this important part of the MOR Revisited events journey. We are looking forward to working together.”
MOR 1985 Revisited will take place on Saturday 6 September 2025 at the Black Market Venue, Worsop, Nottinghamshire.
