OPETH ANNOUNCE UK DATES

Opeth are to play five UK and Irish dates for the autumn.

This kicks off at The London Palladium on October 29, before heading to Glasgow SWG Galvanizers 31, Dublin Olympia Theatre November 1, Leeds University Damnation Festival 2 (the band will headline the event), Bristol O2 Academy 3. Tickets go on sale from 10am on June 3. They’ll be supported by The Vintage Caravan.

Opeth release new album ‘In Cauda Venenum’ through Modorbolaget/Nuclear Blast towards the end of the year. Says frontman Mikael Akerfeldt:  “Well, Skid Row made that album, ‘Slave To The Grind’ (great LP!) and that’s what we (all) are. The new album is finished and it’s called ‘In Cauda Venenum’ and of course there’s a tour planned in support of this.  The UK is our ‘home away from home’ and we’re coming over for a few shows.  I’m very much looking forward to this. We’ll play something old, something new, something horrible and something true.  Take care until then….well, after ‘then’ too.”
