PORTSMOUTH’S TAKEDOWN FESTIVAL RETURNS IN 2023 WITH A SIZZLING LINE-UP

The South’s favourite independent alternative-rock and metal festival makes its return, bigger and better, at Portsmouth Guildhall on 8th April.
After an 8-year break, Takedown Festival is making a comeback with a lineup that promises to be nothing short of mind-blowing. The festival is moving from Southampton University to the larger Portsmouth Guildhall, offering festival-goers a full day of entertainment with over 30 bands performing across five stages including an outdoor stage for the first time.
The festival has already announced two impressive headliners – anonymous masked rock collective Sleep Token and Skindred, one of the most enthralling live bands in the world. The lineup also includes Loathe, Jamie Lenman, Punk Rock Factory, InMe, Palm Reader, Our Hollow Our Home, As December Falls, CLTDRP, Fearless Vampire Killers, The Bottom Line, Seething Skira, Black Gold, and Dendera, with more acts yet to be announced.
The co-directors of Divergent Festivals, Kai and Sarah Harris, said that “even in these strange times it feels like the perfect time to be bringing back one of the best-loved one-day events on the South Coast, taking it back to our roots with one of the biggest lineups Takedown has ever seen.”
Takedown Festival 2023 is set to take place at Portsmouth Guildhall on April 8, 2023. Super early bird tickets are on sale now at takedownfestival.com.
