Powerwolf Howl Back with New Live Album Wildlive (Live at Olympiahalle)

Powerwolf: a band that truly lives up to its name. Today, Friday the 13th of February 2026, the German metal giants release their new live album Wildlive (Live at Olympiahalle). A veritable metal operetta, steeped in theatrical drama and symbolism, recorded during the Wolfsnächte Tour 2024 at Munich’s Olympiahalle — in honour of their biggest headlining tour to date.

And big it was. Perhaps even an understatement, considering it came packaged as a full theatre spectacle: digital stage wizardry, monks roaming the set, dramatic snowfall cascading onto a burning piano — symbolism of the eternal battle between fire and ice. Symbolism à la Powerwolf: precisely what the band does best. The chemistry between Attila Dorn and Falk Maria Schlegel turns the show into something closer to ritual than performance.

The good news is: Powerwolf apparently aren’t done howling in stadiums just yet — and hopefully still carry enough power to endure a few lazy wolf puns along the way. The band are once again storming European and North American stages, sparing not even London’s iconic Wembley Arena.

The tour kicks off on February 19th, 2026 in Copenhagen, with HammerFall and Wind Rose in tow. And of course, festival season won’t be missed: Wacken Open Air, Rock Fest Barcelona, and Alcatraz Open Air are all on the list.
