for the purposes of Data Protection Law, regarding any personal information that is processed as a
result of your visit to this website.
We are committed to providing you with relevant information about, and control over, how we

What does this policy cover?
This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of this website. The website may contain links to other
websites, please note that we have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by
other websites; and we advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before

What is personal data?
Personal data is defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) (the
“GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (collectively, “the Data Protection Legislation”) as ‘any
information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular
by reference to an identifier’.
Personal data is, in simpler terms, any information about you that enables you to be identified.
Personal data covers obvious information such as your name and contact details, but it also covers
less obvious information such as identification numbers, electronic location data, and other online
identifiers.
What information do we collect?
When you enter a competition or sign up to a mailing list or apply for ticket, we ask for information
such as your first name, last name and email address.
We do not collect any special categories of personal data about you (this includes details about your
race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions,
trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we
collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
Why do we process your personal information?
We process your personal information gathered on this website in order to review and improve the
site, marketing, and to improve it for future users. The specific purposes for which we may process
information, and the lawful basis on which we do so in each case, are set out below.
We will keep your information only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes described
below unless a longer retention is required by law, after which we will delete or anonymise it. The
period we keep your information will vary depending on your interactions with us. For example, we
may keep a record of correspondence with us, for example, if you have made a subject access
request, for as long as is legally necessary. Similarly, when you unsubscribe from our email
newsletters or promotional emails, we will keep a record of your email address to ensure we do not
send you marketing emails in the future.
We maintain procedural, technical, and physical safeguards to help protect against loss, misuse or
unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of the information you provide. These
safeguards vary depending upon the sensitivity of the information we collect and store. Please be
aware that no security solutions are infallible.
How do we use personal information?
We use this information for the following purposes: (i) to select winning entrants of competitions, (ii)
to process ticket requests, and (iii) to add you to our mailing list to inform you about future
TotalRock activities including forthcoming competitions, ticket giveaways, and TotalRock sponsored
events.
When do we share personal data?
We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal information about anyone signing up to the
competition, except as described here.
How do we secure personal data?
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being
accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. For example, all
information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. In addition, we limit access to your
personal data to those employees who have a business need to know, and the independent judge of
the competition. They will only process your personal data on our instructions, and they are subject
to a duty of confidentiality.
Unfortunately, however the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure.
Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of
your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.
How long do we keep your personal data for?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it
for.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature,
and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure
of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can
achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
