Rock Producer And Songwriter Jim Steinman Passes Away aged 73

jim steinmanJim Steinman, Hall of Fame songwriter and Grammy-winning record producer for Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, Air Supply, Pandora’s Box and others, has passed away due to ongoing health issues. He was 73 years old.

Bill Steinman said ”My brother, Jim, passed away at his home in Connecticut, having been ill for a long time. I miss him a great deal already.”

Meat Loaf had this to say on the passing of Jim Steinman ”There is no other songwriter ever like him. I can never repay him – he has been such an influence, in fact, the biggest influence on my life and I learned so much from him that there would be no way I could ever repay Mr Jim Steinman.”

Bonnie Tyler had this to say on the passing of Jim Steinman ”I am absolutely devastated to learn of the passing of my long term friend and musical mentor Jim Steinman.”
