Following Their Sold Out UK 2022 Tour, The Canadian Rockers Return With More
Suave 70s styled Canadian rockers The Damn Truth have announced their 8 date UK headline tour this July/August. The knockout musicians spun the UK into an absolute tinted sunglass frenzy last year with sold out shows across the country and nothing but good words to say about the quartet. Now, mere weeks after they were announced as the support act for the ever anticipated ‘Glenn Hughes Performs Classic Deep Purple’ tour this October, the group have stated they will be also gracing our stages in the midst of summer.
After dropping their first album ‘Dear In The Headlights’ back in 2012 the band have had a steady but well earned and well respected rise from the scenes’ peripherals right into direct vision. Their latest 2012 album ‘Now or Nowhere’ was a thundering homage to everything rock ’n’roll and let’s not forget that superbly mind-bending music video to ‘This Is Who We Are Now’ (as seen below). Blending classic rock with a modern undertone has garnished them a dedicated following as they look to sell-out this year with promises of a red-hot show.
Celebrating 50 years of the Burn album with The Damn Truth will be a damn good show for sure after the band stated they had ‘been fans of Glenn’s forever’ and that it was ‘a dream come true’. But whilst supporting ‘The Voice of Rock’ Hughes may be every rock bands dream it looks as though The Damn Truth are stepping out on their own. As just a small segment of their full on EU 2023 tour it’s a move in the right direction after truly outgrowing the smaller, ‘I was there’ shows. As we await the – fingers crossed – inevitable new album release it’s nice to see them back across the pond; bigger and better than before.
