RORY GALLAGHER: RARE, UNRELEASED BLUES TRACKS TO BE ISSUED
Written by Malcolm Dome on April 10, 2019
There’s to be a ‘new’ Rory Gallagher album released on May 31 by Chess/UMC.
It’s titled ‘Blues’, and features tapes from the archives of the master guitarist playing his favourite blues songs. About 90 percent of the material is previously unreleased, while there are also rare tracks. These include guest sessions of Gallagher performing with the likes of Muddy Waters, Jack Bruce, Lonnie Donegan, Chris Barber and Albert King. There are also lost radio sessions.
This is to be made available in the following formats: CD, double LP, limited edition blue vinyl and deluxe 36 track three CDs.
