Saxon singer Biff Byford revealed earlier today to TotalRock that the name of the new album is confirmed as ‘Carpe Diem’ and also revealed another new album is in the works.
Chatting to Neil Jones ahead of the band’s slot at Bloodstock Festival, the singer confirmed the name saying that the album is slated for a February 2022 release with Andy Sneap handling production duties. The album will also feature a song called ‘Hadrian’s Wall‘ inspired by Biff’s new love of walking which saw him recently walk the length of the famous landmark.
In addition to the new album, Biff also confirmed that there is a second covers album planned following their mid-pandemic release of ‘Inspirations’ which saw the band cover tracks from Deep Purple, AC/DC, Toto, Jimi Hendrix and more.
Chatting about the planned release Biff said he has a list of songs that they will be covering, revealing that one will be a Who classic.
