New Myke Gray Music With a Twist!
Myke Gray, song-writer and guitarist from Jagged Edge, Skin, Red White & Blues and now Kim Jennett, unveiled his new project this week adopting the name of his first solo album, Shades Of Gray and treating us all to a brand new Myke masterpiece that goes by the name “I Get Up“.
TotalRock had the honour of giving this beauty its very first radio airplay worldwide on Monday night on the show Keep It Rock and here’s what show host Dunk MacKellar had to say about the song
It’s a really catchy number – A bit different to what we are used to (from Myke) but I love the retro feel, Myke’s vocal is superb and the video’s a lot of fun too. In short… It’s Awesome!
It’s one of those songs that you know as soon as you hear it – catchy, fun and you can almost sing along as if you’ve been playing it for years.
The video is great fun and Myke is the absolute star – donning different get ups – wigs, make-up the lot – as he plays all the instruments in the video. Myke also takes the mic for this one too (which must have been a daunting task after writing songs for, and performing with, the likes of Phil Conalane, Matti Alfonzetti, Nev McDonald and now Kim Jennett) and reveals a long hidden talent – He’s actually bloody good!
