SKINDRED Announce Triple Threat: “You Got This” Single, Music Video, and Upcoming Album
Spread the word – the biggest motivators in metal are back, reminding everyone not to give up with their new single “You Got This”. Skindred recently dropped the irresistibly catchy and hard-hitting anthem, accompanied by a wildly chaotic music video full of wit, personality, and that signature Skindred energy.
Doing what they do best, the Welsh ragga-metal powerhouse blend wrecking-ball riffs with explosive, head-shaking rhythms and singalong-ready vocals that will absolutely lift your spirit.
Inspiration clearly runs deep for the newly slimmed-down three-piece, as frontman Benji Webbe shared that the song was inspired by a head-turning moment he witnessed in the gym. Seeing a man struggling to complete his exercises during stroke rehabilitation, his trainer encouraged him with the simple but powerful words: “You got this”. A quote Benji evidently took to heart:
I was watching from a distance, and I could see the struggle and the pain, but in that moment, I knew he had got this. It’s such an empowering statement and it applies to so many battles that everybody faces: it could be a recovery from a stroke, or it could be studying for your exams at school. For me, having songs that lift people who are going through tough times is the most important thing. I feel like that’s what I’m put on this planet to do.
The mood-lifting heaviness of “You Got This” doesn’t just get you out of your seat – it also resonates on a deeper level, as music so often does. Skindred’s infectious enthusiasm and unshakable self-belief, paired with adrenaline-fueled melodies, perfectly capture what makes life worth living: finding joy in the moments that keep you moving forward. Or as some might say, Skindred are “the loudest life coaches you’ll ever meet.”

For those already hooked, the good news keeps coming: Skindred’s ninth studio album will be unleashed on April 17, 2026, produced by Grammy-winner Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour) via Earache Records. Until then, fans can keep their energy up with the band’s back catalogue – including 2023’s Smile, which hit #2 on the UK Official Album Chart and earned Skindred both Best Alternative Music Act at the MOBO Awards and Best UK Act at the Heavy Music Awards.
As explosive as they are in the studio, Skindred’s true fire-setting magic happens on stage. No wonder, their biggest show to date at Wembley Arena packed in thousands of fans.– and they’re nowhere near done. As guitarist Mikey Demus puts it:
When you start a band, you don’t think for a second that you’re going to headline Wembley. I don’t feel like we made it happen; the audience made it happen by committing to be there and travelling so far to come. When you’re in a band you’re always looking at the next thing and it can be hard to be like, wow, what’s happening right now is amazing. There are still so many people out there who should know us but have never heard of us. So, we’ve got this whole fight ahead of us still.
Obviously, the only thing one can say to that is: You Got This.
Mark your calendars – the full album drops on April 17, 2026. Pre-order now and get ready for the most uplifting dose of heavy music this year. Or, if your spontaneous, catch them live.
