Slash Brings the Blues Soaring Back to Life with Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival – Out Now
Guns N’ Roses icon Slash has just unleashed his new album Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, proving the raw and electrifying power of loud, soul-drenched blues. Trading thunder for groove, the guitar legend dives headfirst into the roots of rock – presenting it in the way it was meant to be: loud, live, and dangerous.
The blues celebration was recorded at Slash’s very own S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, which fittingly stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance. On July 17, 2024, the Mission Ballroom in Denver witnessed an unforgettable night where blues and rock ‘n’ roll collided for a cause – raising funds and awareness for organizations like the Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greenlining Institute, and War Child.
Fans not only got to experience their favourite sonic legends under one roof but also supported these vital charities with every ticket sold. Evidently, the show did not disappoint – the hit-packed setlist featured heavy, rock-infused renditions of classics like “Killing Floor”, “Oh Well”, “Stone Free”, and “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry”, honouring icons such as Howlin’ Wolf, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Dylan. A special treat for fans: one blistering new original track, “Metal Chestnut”.

An absolute must for any rock fan who appreciates where it all began, Live at S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival is a love letter to the blues – reimagined through Slash’s unmistakable fire.
The lineup of veterans, known collectively as Slash’s Blues Ball, features Slash on lead and rhythm guitar, Teddy “ZigZag” Andreadis (keyboards, harmonica, vocals), Tash Neal (rhythm guitar, vocals), Johnny Griparic (bass, backing vocals), and Michael Jerome (drums).
Don’t miss out on this sonic celebration, as the blues have never sounded this alive.
