TED MCKENNA PASSES AWAY

Famed drummer Ted McKenna has died at the age of 68.

He had a haemorrhage while undergoing surgery. A medical team fought for 10 hours to try and save him.

During a distinguished career, he worked with Tear Gas, Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Rory Gallagher, Michael Schenker, Ian Gillan and John Etheridge. Most recently, he has been a member of Michael Schenker Fest.

Bassist Chris Glne, who played with McKenna in SAHB, MSG and Michael Schenker Fest has commented: “Awoke this morning to the terrible news that our beloved brother Ted has left us. Seemingly he passed away during complications with his operation for his hernia. My most heartfelt condolences to all his friends and family… Just can’t believe it.”
