Cormac Neeson is to put out his debut solo album in April.
Titled ‘White Feather’, this is to be released on April 26. This will be available in a CD digipak and also as a download. The single, ‘Broken Wing’ is issued to mark World Down’s Syndrome Day on March 21. Neeson’s son, Dabhog, was born prematurely four years ago, and suffers from the disease. Now a Mencap brand ambassador, The Answer vocalist will put out a documentary on March 21 to raise awareness of the problem. It features him getting a tattoo of Chromosome 21, which is the distinguishing genetic feature of the disease. Check out ‘Broken Wing’ here:
Says Neeson:
“Everything I am is wrapped up in this record. I’ve been, at times, brutally honest with myself and tried to create something with real truth and power attached to it. Whether other people hear ‘White Feather’ and relate to the message or not, I know I’ve written a collection of songs that mean more to me than anything I’ve ever done in the past”
