Sisters Of Mercy roundhouseSisters of Mercy 1The Sisters Of Mercy are turning 40 this year and they are playing three very special shows at London’s Roundhouse to celebrate. These are taking place on the 10th, 11th and 12th of September 2021.
The legendary goth rockers will return for their first headline London shows in two years.
The current Sisters of Mercy set-list consists of their most well known and loved tracks sitting alongside some newer and (as yet) unreleased songs so these Roundhouse shows promise to deliver at least a few surprises for fans.
TotalRock’s own Kahmel Farahani spoke to The Sisters Of Mercy’s lead guitarist Ben Christo about what the band have in-store for the fans and what its like to be back on stage after almost two years absence:
“We’re looking forward to playing these shows! It’s become a bit of a tradition over the last 10 years for The Sisters to play The Roundhouse and we’ve had some fantastic nights there. Its the 40th anniversary so we’re going to be playing the classics, the hits and some new stuff we’re really excited about so we can’t wait for you guys to hear that! We’ve also got some really special support acts this time too, with A.A. Williams and Jesus Jones, who are a band I grew up listening to, so that has a special resonance for me.
Its going to be great to be back on stage again and playing to the fans again, particularly because our last tour only got 4 dates in before it was cancelled, due to covid and it just felt really curtailed, so picking up where we left off about 18 months ago is kind of weird, but very exciting”.
