Dateline 15th April 2022!
South Africa’s wildest rock band The SoapGirls release ‘Breathe’ at London Nambucca show!!
‘Breathe’ the first single from soon to be released 4th album ‘In My Skin’ is released today and if you’re at the London Nambucca show tonight 15th April you can get your hands on a physical copy! It’s a romper stomper of pure, dynamic, rock n roll! The ‘Breathe’ video is released on 17th April with the album ‘In My Skin’ following in the summer.
This uncompromising style/attitude & the excessive, debauched live shows, earn a reputation of absolute credibility & authenticity. Past appearances have included legendary Punk/Alternative festivals such as Rebellion & Camden Rocks.
The SoapGirls’ 2022 Don’t Give A Damn tour kicked off in the UK in April, before heading to Europe next week then back to the UK for the main run in June/July/August then the US & Japan in and finally back to the UK for some final dates in October. Check here for the latest updates.
UPDATE 17th April. Breathe Video is released!
The SoapGirls consist of French-born, South African-raised sisters Noemie Debray (Mie) (guitar, vocals) & Camille Debray (Mille) (bass guitar, vocals) The fearless siblings began their music career as child street performers at ages 8 and 9, roaming the streets of Cape Town singing whilst selling handmade soap for charity, earning the name ‘The SoapGirls’
Early in their professional career, the SoapGirls were a dance-pop act signed to the South African branch of Universal Music Group where they scored a South African number one hit album Xperience (2011) Due to their lack of creative control, & the mechanisms & soulless marketing machinery of their major label, the SoapGirls decided not to compromise, & ended the cooperation, instead following their hearts..their passion was & is Rock’n’Roll..
