THUNDER TO PLAY CHARITY SHOW
Written by Malcolm Dome on June 24, 2019
Thunder are to play a club show on September 26 – but this is being done to raise money for charity.
This is to happen at The Garage in London on September 26, with all proceeds going to the NSPCC/Childline.
In addition, the band celebrate their 30th anniversary by releasing a compilation called ‘The Greatest Hits’ through BMG on September 27. This has been compiled by Thunder themselves, and will come in the following formats: two CD, expanded three CD [featuring a live session recorded and streamed at the Planet Rock studio on January 18, 2019], triple LP and Digital. CD1 and CD2 both include Thunder covers of classic songs.
Says frontman Danny Bowes: , “Having been at it for 30 years, we now feel we have enough of a body of work behind us to do this properly. We explored and re-imagined our back catalogue with the ‘Please Remain Seated’ album, and now with ‘The Greatest Hits’ we’ve gathered all our key tunes together. It’s all killer, no filler, and we hope fans like having it all in one place.”
