Ufo’s Live Album ‘Strangers In The Night’ To Get A Deluxe Edition Release
Written by Johnson Stephen on September 22, 2020
Ufo’s ‘Strangers In The Night’ is regarded by many as one of the greatest Live albums of all time, as it captured the band at the peak of their powers.
The original 2 LP album was released in January 1979 and it was recorded over six shows in Chicago, Kenosha, Youngstown, Cleveland, Columbus and Louisville during their 1978 American Tour.
Now, for the first time, all of the shows are being made available and have been re-mixed by Richard Whittaker and remastered by Andy Pearce from the original tapes, along with the original album in a Eight CD Deluxe edition. The album will be released on Chrysalis Records, 20th November 2020.
Drummer Andy Parker had this to say about the Live album ”It feels like our defining record and it always will do. We were at the apex of our career and it just exemplifies the band, perfectly. It will always be my favourite.”
‘Strangers In The Night’ is not an album any fan of Rock music can ever tire of. It’s as exciting as Rock gets.
