VOLBEAT: BACK WITH NEW ALBUM, TOUR

Volbeat are to release a new album in the summer.

Titled ‘Rewind, Replay, Rebound’, it’s to be released by Vertigo on August 2. Guests on the album include Gary Holt (Exodus, Slayer) and Neil Fallon (Clutch). Says guitarist/vocalist Michael Paulsen: “The whole point for us going into the studio, is because you still have something to prove – not just for the fans, but mostly for yourself, We would not be able to do this record if it wasn’t for the work we have done in the past. No matter how old the band gets or how many records we do, there is always going to be that signature sound.”

The band are to headline the following shows at the start of a European tour: Newcastle O2 Academy September 23, Glasgow O2 Academy 24, London Brixton O2 Academy 26, Bristol O2 Academy 28, Birmingham O2 Academy 30, Manchester O2 Apollo October 1, Belfast Ulster Hall 3, Dublin Olympia Theatre 4.  They’ll be supported by Baroness and Danko Jones.
