Previously unreleased video footage of Megadeth drummer Nick Menza hosting his final Masterclass drum clinics on April 28th and 29th of 2014 at the Academia De Musica Fermatta campuses in Mexico City and Guadadajara is now available to view below. This drum clinic took place two years before Nick Menza’s passing in 2016.
The one minute clip features Nick playing along to the Megadeth track ‘Hanger 18’ in a intimate setting for students only. The footage was supposed to be used for the drummer’s first-ever instructional DVD titled ‘Intense Mega Drumming’, that was to feature 10 re-recorded Megadeth drum tracks with tons of tips and tricks from Nick’s arsenal to help teach anybody out there to become a better player.
The DVD, which was produced and directed by Karl Pearson and Nick’s manager Robert Bolger, has since been shelved.
The Unreleased video footage from both classes will feature in the soon to be released official Nick Menza documentary documentary film ‘This Was My Life-The Story Of Nick Menza’. It features rare and never before seen photos and video footage from Nick’s archived VHS collection, filmed by Nick from 1988 to 1991.
