A REVIEW: VQ Skylark TWS Bluetooth Earbuds with Stunning Cath Kidston Designer Prints – Bees, Story Tree and Strawberry Garden Blue
Designed by English fashion icon Cath Kidston, these earbuds boast of being the loudest sound for TWS earbuds in the market, with Hi-Fi stereo sound quality and a deep, rich bass, defined mid-range, and crystal-clear high-end and i’m here to put them to the test.
Initially I was drawn to the whimsical design on the charging case of the headphones which has cherry trees, branches & cute sloths and squirrels patterned across its body. A truly stunning and classic Cath Kidston design. I received The Story Tree design (pictured) but the Skylark earbuds feature three delightful patterns inspired by nature: ‘Bees,’ ‘Story Tree,’ and ‘Strawberry Garden.’ The charging case itself fits very comfortably in the palm of my hand and take up no more space in my bag than my keys. Its sleek and rounded design makes it very easy to find when rummaging around in my bag, which is essential for someone who is always on the go like me.
The buds themselves are very comfortable and DO NOT SLIP which i find very rare in these days of oversaturated markets with different headphones and brands. Its been a long time since ive found a pair that stay in place once you put them in so this was another very welcome surprise. The silicone on the buds on the headphones themselves are on the firmer side, which i generally prefer, but are easily changeable should you prefer a softer fit.
These bluetooth headphones claim to have a 10-meter range so i put this to the test! I left my phone at the far end of my house, wacked my favorite songs on spotify (currently listening to the band Dead Pony on repeat!) and moved around dancing in all the different rooms of my house whilst leaving my phone in the same spot and I was left impressed by the connectivity range. The headphones still worked even when I walked to the end of my garden and with the headphones still snuggly in my ears. This which is a big win for me this summer when i need to charge my phone inside but still want to soak up the last few rays of the days sun.
The headphones themselves have up to 10 hours for playback and a total of 45 hours use with the charging case, including an impressive 200 hours of standby time. I have been using these headphones over the past week on my commute to and from work, working out at the gym, putting them in when i’m doing some power cleaning around the house and i can still honestly say i am yet to charge them, they have so far lasted extremely well with moderate use! I am a very forgetful person so the fact that these headphones hold such a great battery life means one less thing to worry about charging all the time!
To test the audio quality i listed to a variety of different media through the headphones. From Punk to Podcasts, Metal to Movies and everything in between. The headphones have a very crystal clear sound across a wide range of media. I particularly enjoyed listening to podcasts through the headphones, felt like i was listening to a friend speak in front of me, and really gives podcast a more personal feel. There is also nothing quite like walking down the road on a sunny day, feeling good, strutting along to your favorite tunes whilst having a main character moment, and that is exactly what happened to me whilst listening to Blah Blah Blah by Kesha (Sorry not sorry!) through these headphones.
The high quality audio coupled with the enhanced noise cancelling technology built in made for a very pleasant listening experience. One thing i did feel is that once on the highest volume, the headphone do lose some of it’s deep bass sound i felt like the mid-ranges could be improved at this volume – Although we need to take care of our ears so i would never suggest listening to music at that volume anyway.
Overall,VQ Skylark earbuds deliver a pleasant and personal listening experience, no matter if you’re rocking out on your commute or cutting some shapes whilst you wash dishes these headphones provide a high quality listening experience and long battery life to keep you moving for longer!
Whether you’re a music lover, a podcast enthusiast, or just someone like me who appreciates both style, functionality and turning life into your own personal mosh pit, the VQ Skylark earbuds are worth considering.
