TotalRock Opens its doors to a new generation of writers

Written by on June 4, 2021

TotalRock is looking to unearth the next crop of journalists in the UK with the launch of its new ‘Journalist Development Scheme’.

The scheme is aimed at budding reviewers and writers from across the UK, aged between 18 and 25, who want to break into journalism to review new music releases, live gigs, films, books, games or to write blogs and diaries. By getting involved, the selected writers will be coached by TotalRock’s experienced staff writers on how to improve their writing style and will also see their work published on the TotalRock website. As TotalRock writers they will get access to a range of new music, gigs, books etc to review.

The aim of the project is to seek out and develop the best young writing talent whose work might otherwise not get a platform to be read.

TotalRock Director Tony Wilson said “As we pass our 21st birthday and become an increasingly multi-strand  brand, we want to offer a platform for a new generation of writers who have a passion for everything rock and metal”

Interested parties aged between 18 and 25 are asked to submit a recent album / music review or blog  totalling no more than 250 words to [email protected]
