YOU ME AT SIX RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘DEEP CUTS’

UK modern-day legends You Me At Six have released new single ‘Deep Cuts’ via AWAL Recordings. It’s the first from their recently announced, highly anticipated eighth studio album Truth Decay, set to be released in early 2023.
Speaking of ‘Deep Cuts’, vocalist Josh Franceschi says, “Deep Cuts is about being on the outside looking in on people in your circle who are going through pain or a bad moment by being with the wrong person. Suffering because they’re holding onto someone or something that they could let go of. Knowing that they would be more than fine on the other side of it, but convincing them of that is easier said than done. Hoping they will eliminate the trauma by moving past it as quick as possible.”
‘Deep Cuts’ is a nod to the band’s earlier days, an anthemic emo pop-punk banger reminiscent of the sound of the late-00’s to early-10’s. It’s everything we’ve been waiting for, really.
The announcement of Truth Decay sent the internet into a frenzy, as did the first play of ‘Deep Cuts’ yesterday evening on BBC Radio 1. Let’s hope for a UK tour announcement soon!
